ABOUT ME
Charisa Middlebrook
Hey there! I'm a certified Postpartum Doula and the face behind Kindred Cradle. I began my training in June of 2021 after having a horrible postpartum experience. At the time, I had no idea what a postpartum doula was, let alone that they even existed. I dealt with a lot of trauma after the birth of my first baby, and it all was in the midst of the pandemic in 2020. I knew that I never wanted another mother to feel how I did during the first few months of my postpartum period, so I knew becoming a Postpartum Doula was my calling. I earned my certification from Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings in November 2022.
My goal as your postpartum doula is to help you reimagine the postpartum experience. We were never meant to do this alone, we need the help and that's perfectly okay to admit! I'm naturally a lover, giver, and a helper, and that will be intertwined with my work.
I can't wait to help you and your family and walk beside you into your transition to parenthood, whether this is your first child or not. Let's reimagine the postpartum experience, together.
